[A/S] Airstream to Alaska

Hello all,
  We are leaving in about two weeks on a trip to AK until Sept. We are leaving 
from Richmond Va pulling a 34' '91 Excella 1000.  We have been told to make a 
plywood "gravel shield" to stop dings on the front while on the Alaska Highway.  
I have "mud flaps"on the truck and the dark window gravel shields on "Old Baldy" 
but do not have a guess as to what this plywood thing is or how to make it.  I 
find much info about driving M/H on the Alaska Highway but very little about 
towing.  Does anyone have any info about towing on the "ALCAN" or camping 
in Yukon?
