At the door of our '75 Tradewind there's an aluminum lip. Looking from the
inside of the trailer, I think it must be 3/8-inch or so (I'm at the
office, so I can't run out and look). I stopped the parquet 1/8 to 1/4 inch
short of the walls all around, including at the entrance. Then I used
quarter-round all around, including at the entrance. Seems to have worked
fine.

I used a pneumatic finish mailer to put the quarter-round down and did not
glue it. I have had a couple of instances of the quarter round raising
slightly off the surface of the floor due to rough roads in transit. A
couple hammer taps fixes this right up. I suppose you could glue it, but
then you  would lose some of the expansion advantages of floating the floor
in the first place.
