[A/S] Drain valve lubricant

I've recently been using CAMCO holding tank deodorant/digester/valve 
lubricant. I'd rather use Thetford as it seems to work better. the lubricant 
in the CAMCO appears to be coconut oil. is there any reason one just can't 
use regular inexpensive cooking oil?? Since I've been using a lubricant the 
drain valves do seem to be operating better.....
