new remote access configuration.

On my Mac, it's as simple as highlighting and clicking on "Open Remote
Access," then going to the "File" heading in the top tool bar and selecting
"Configurations." I usually make a "duplicate," rename the duplicate as the
local Kinkos store, click on "make active," type in the local phone number
for my ISP and then, click on "Connect."

That's all there is to creating an additional access number and immediately
accessing my ISP. It takes less than a minute and I'm in like Flynn for
collecting and sending my email.

Likewise, if we return to the same store at a later time, the local number
is already established - just waiting to be selected.  The only numbers I
delete are those that have become obsolete.

After doing this hundreds of  times, it's no big deal. The first few times
took a bit of thought and a few trips to the Help menu. If I had been privvy
to the above paragraphs, it would have taken a lot less time.

Hopefully, this will be useful to other Mac users who would like to
send/receive email from many different locations while traveling.  Anyone
who'd like to discuss this further should feel free to contact me privately.

Likewise, anyone who has learned a more efficient way than I've outlined for
doing this, YOU MUST TELL ME ABOUT IT.  <grin> I'm learning new stuff all
the time.
