[A/S] Mouse proof! I hope.
I spent my weekend re attatching the belly skin to the frame of the
trailer and most importantly around the wheel wells where mice can
jump from the tire to the hole created by lose skin at the ends of
the well. I used 1/4" x 1" aluminum bar as a long giant washer to
hold the lose skin in
place. I drilled holes every 2 feet and used self tapping screws
with large heads to attatch the strips.
I also rebuilt, with aluminum sheet, the area around the back of the
black water holding tank where it had rusted out leaving some rather
large holes for mice to enter and exit freely. Close inspection of
the trailer for mouse sized holes revealed that the frame channels
right behind the hitch are open on the ends! I made some rectangular
metal plugs for these would be mouse tunnels.
I now feel that I am ready for a field test. I darn near wore out my
traps last summer!
