Re: [A/S] Lower stone guard pricing

John, an owner of a "newer" Airstream had a set of stainless stone guards
for sale at an Airstream rally I attended last summer. Since I also have a
restored vintage Airstream with a different body contour than the "newer"
models, the stone guards I was offered ($100 if I recall correctly) would
not fit on my trailer. Point being, be sure the stone guards you eventually
buy will fit correctly on the year model Airstream you have. Another option
would be to have a good sheet metal shop fabricate a set of stone guards for
you out of stainless steel. I can't imagine doing so would cost anywhere
near $1,500. My SWAG would be maybe a third as much, if that, especially if
you install them yourself.
