[A/S] Shower Door

In our 34' Front Kitchen, we have a center bath - the shower and closet is on 
the curb side and the toilet and sink on the street side.  There is a light 
inside the shower which is always on when the bathroom lights are on.  There 
is no way to turn it off other than to remove the bulbs.  

During the day, we store our clothes basket, waste basket and a bucket with 
shampoos, etc., in the shower.  (Of course, we take these out when we 
shower!)
With the almost-clear fiber glass shower door and the light inside, it is 
like having a spotlight on all this 'stuff'.

I want to paint the shower door.  I would like to paint the inside so the 
finish of the glass still shows on the outside.  Has anyone done this?  Any 
recommendations?
