Could this be something as simple as a blown fuse? 
You might check this first.

If you aren't even getting the normal purge cycle
(blower on prior to gas ignition) I'd be checking
thermostat and electrical connections.  I had a
similar problem on my Safari during its first cold
weather campout.  It ended up being a bad connector on
a wire that is within the furnace.  I opened the
outside furnace cover, then opened the fiberboard
cover which protects the electronics.  I started
wiggling wires and suddenly I found the right one and
the blower and off we went!
