Are you still in the Houston area?  I might be able to help you out if you
are.  There are another couple of people on this list from Houston, too.
I sent him my telephone number and told him to take it Bob Jones RV - with over
50 yrs experience in fixing Airstreams.  One time, they were THE Airstream
Dealer for South Texas while Abbott Trailers in Lubbock handled The NORTH side.
of course, Abbott is where I was trained as a mechanic.  Thankfully, that was a
short life but it got me most of a PhD <G>
