[A/S] Polishing Battery, Water, Electrical, Telephone Door Covers

I have some discoloration on the aluminum on the Batter Cover Doors, 
Water Filler Door, Outside Power Cover Door, Telephone/TV cover door, 
and main door hinges.

What is the best way to polish them to a high luster??
