Patti,

Check out the auto Winegard on sale for 899.00. That's the one I have.  It's 
wonderful. I know you wil be happier with it than the manual.

Mine is midship, my batwing tv antenna is in front.  I have the coax from the 
auto dish coming in through the fridge vent, behind the fridge and right into 
the living room wall. 

After installation you go buy a receiver, then you add service.
