I am not familiar with DirecTV. I was simply quoting what appears on the 
Starke electronics webpage (see my previous post) concerning the motorized 
antenna which switches back and forth as needed. Page says:

*Has extended elevation range and toggles between satellites. DISH 500 will

101 and 119

So apparently DirecTV has satellites at 101 as well as 119. I don't know 
what is available on the additional satellite.

As the DirecTV service evolves it may become useful to be able to access 
both satellites. My DISH system will be compromised soon by the extended 7 
day guide only available on the 110 satellite, whereas the programming 
comes from the 119 satellite. My AS installation can only access one of 
them. I will have to make do with the two day guide.
