Patti,

We got the Winguard manual dish.  We also had them
install the elevation thingy.  We're quite pleased
with the setup.  The ground setups were always blowing
over unless you drag around an extra cinder block or
two, to weight it down.  Not to mention having cable
laying all over the place.

My wife does the linking.  She has the patience. 
That's the only thing that wasn't improved with the
roof mount.  She says its a lot easier just from the
stand point of being able to do it all from inside.

That said.  If I had an extra 1k just laying around,
I'd probably have sprung for the automatic model. 
Some friends have one, and even the husband has no
problems getting a signal.
