For the larger softball to volleyball sized dents, i've had decent results
using a glazier's suction-cup handle... someone also makes suction cups with
handles which i've seen at auto-parts stores. The problem isn't 'whether
this works or not', but the nature of the dent and the fact that it's
aluminum. Aluminum stretches, steel doesn't (at least not so much), so the
suction cup/ding king technique will work pretty well popping dents out of
steel... not so good at un-stretching aluminum; in fact, he ding king
'bridge' is just as likely to put two new dents alongside the old one.

It would be worth a shot, though, to make your own 'ding king' with a long
enough bridge to straddle the dent and push off against the trailer's ribs,
and not against unsupported skin.

Personally, I'm planning on becoming a sheet metal expert so i can replace
panels as needed... others have approached sheet metal shops and aircraft
repair people for their dented panels.
