Re: [A/S] Re: A/S Widths

I pulled the refrigerator out without knowing what I was looking for other
than it wasn't working. A fellow camper who used to work as a RV mechanic
suggested the "burping." I tried to soon to see if it was working by plugging
it in. Then when it wasn't I tried burping again and reapplying power. No
luck! Then I went to www.rvmobile .com and a few other sites that discussed
this. They said the liquid had to be cool during the "burp" I was heating it
between burps and defeating the process. The next weekend I tried again and
presto it worked!
As A point of reference we purchased a1978 31 RB model that was sitting in a
campground for three years without moving except that it had settled 4-6"
into the mud. The previous owner complained that someone kept disconnecting
his trailer because the refrigerator was defrosted when he got there on
weekends! His solution was to leave the refrigerator off. He had new tires
and new batteries three years old that were shot. batteries were bone dry and
tires had broken belts on two tires and the others were dry rotted. I know
what a campground model is!
