[A/S] Re: Operation of LP detector?

I found that the chirping always coincided with the batteries being low. To
reset it, I need to unscrew the detector from the wall and disconnect the
power wire; then reconnect and reattach to the wall. I requested a user
manual from the manufacturer, but they sent me one for the newest model, not
the model I had.

I also checked if there was a battery on the detector -- nope, it's powered
by direct wire from the house battery, so the master shutoff doesn't affect
it. No backup battery, either.

(As for the disconnected yellow wire, I think it's for LP tank level or
pressure detection, but may need special sensors at the tanks or in the LP
line itself.)

Hope this helps.
