Re: [A/S]Floors (was Convection micro v. standard gas oven; Wilso n art floor...

Old heart pine, in that honey color is my favorite wood. I want to slowly
change out all the oak fronts to rustic old pine. Might even paint the
"kitchen" and then sand it to give the pine that primitive look.

<BUT, I found The Most Beautiful vase / bowl / not sure what -
made of mesquite of all things. The wood has a look & feel very close to
an aged burl walnut, sorta resembles coffee with a swirl of cream,
nothing predictable about it. A very warm & soothing piece, expensive
(to me), but became my Christmas present to myself. Sits on the
nightstand between the single beds in my Safari. A tad too big for the
space at maybe 18" tall & maybe 8 to 10" in circumference, but I have no
other place for it right now. >>

Heck, I have a 31" bronze sculpture in my trailer, on the bookcase..... I
don't worry about space, I cram in things that I like.

<When I win the Lotto, I'd love to put Jackson Center to work creating a very
personalized trailer, and you can bet the flooring or cabinets will be of
mesquite ... if I
can afford it. Texas Lotto's ain't that big any more.>

Why can't you simply change out the cabinet doors or cover them with
mesquite? Some day all my doors will be primitive pine and lodgepole pine.

Found this website... the wood is gorgeous... pricey too....
