[A/S] Brake or bearing question.

We took our overlander out this weekend.  Towed fine for the first 150 miles, 
but when we got to the campground, while on approach to the site, I 
experienced some slippage with the tow vehicle, and applaid the brakes.  From 
that moment, as we went on through thre campsite, I heard a sound like a 
brake dragging or a bearing going.  As there was nothing we could do at the 
time, we made camp, called an RV repair shop in town, and waited until Sunday 
to drop of the trailer and have it checked.  After we were hitched up, and 
started to town, the noise had disappeared. I know these Airstream's are 
great, but I really don't think they fix themselves.  Has anyone else 
experienced this on their units.  I dropped the trailer off, am having the 
bearing packed and have them check the running gear.  Has anyone had the 
bearings greased and the brakes upgraded, and can let me know what I might be 
looking at as far as repair costs.    

       On another note,  we stopped at an Airstream dealer, a little farther 
up the road.  We looked at a new Bambi and a Safari.  I would keep my 1965 
Overlander.  Boy, oh Boy!  They really don't make them like that anymore.  
The price tags were $34,000+ to $38,000+.   I feel so rich!
