Re: [A/S] Sealand vs Thedford toilet

I have a Sealand in my 1963 Airstream. This type of toilet has a plastic
flush valve. It will freeze at the drop of a hat!! I have replace it at
least 4 times over the last 8 years at $50.00 a pop. I finally plumed in a
metal ball valve in the closet next to the toilet. Got rid of the expensive
Sealand valve all together.

On the other hand, my first SOB trailer had a garden variety Thedford
toilet that never froze up. I think it has a vacuum break valve in it that
drains out the water after each flush.

 Hope this helps.
