Welcome Penny,

I fulltime in my 25' 1996 Airstream, which is very personalized...right down 
to a large bronze sculpture and oil paintings.  You do know they still make 
them right?  Instead of making a homemade trailer, like from a horse trailer, 
why don't you just buy the newest Airstream you can afford?  If you make a 
homemade trailer many campgrounds won't let you in..... 

I think the Airstreams, Avions, Silver Streaks and Streamlines were all built 
to outlive their builders...... the only newer one available is Airstream and 
Silver Streak....  

My suggestion is simply get the newest you can afford.... remember, new is 
heavy so you will need a capable tow vehicle........
