[A/S] thermopane windows



During the early/mid 70's up to the early mid eightys both the thermopane 
windows and ExcellaVac power disc brakes were available as options and 
standard in Excella500's and Limiteds. I know I've seen an '84 Limited with 
both, but don't  know the exact year they were discontinued. also, all door 
windows and VistaView windows were thermopane during the period. My '77 
VistaViews are all clouded up, the door window is fine for some reason. You 
can tell the thermopanes from the outsitde because of a slight mirror like 
tinting applied between the panes.
A friend told me they were made by PPG and for some reason cannot be 
repaired. That they had obvious trouble produceing curved thermopane windows. 
Must be true because the motorhomes have them but the classic trailers do not.
before thermopanes were offered I think plexiglass storm window inserts 
clipped on the inside part of the glass windows. I saw someone years ago with 
them on his 70 or 71....
