If you are on the move for most of the time, the smaller trailer will 
have the advantages you enumerate... I have not towed the 34 myself, 
(we have a 32) but I have talked to a number that have moved up and 
wish they had not... I have also talked to some that like the new 
trailer just fine... 

Either way, you will have to take on a modified "full timer" mode of 
packing... best put by a friend as pack what you use and if you buy 
a new one, sell or throw away the old one... I think the point is that 
if you can't live in a 31-32, you probably can't live in a 34... The 
extra couple of feet will fill up and then what?? I have always been 
a packrat and could not take my toys if I had someone drive a moving 
van along with the trailer... basically all my workshops stay home 
along with the books and the various projects in progress... I have 
concentrated on wood carving and Mary takes her painting...Clothes 
are all casual and limited.. If something formal comes up, I will 
rent, but it's not expected... We can't seem to stay anywhere without 
finding the laundramat after a day or so...

I would definetly try the 31 for at least one season...
