If it is a twin bed model the 97 and new 25' Excella's have an 
identical layout.  The interior appointments were upgraded in the 
1999 - 2002 Models Joni brand lounges were replaced with more 
substantial Villa brand ones. Corian counters, Hallogen, Floresent 
lighting and Alcoa Aluminum wheels became standard, larger capacity 
water pumps and better converter systems also became available. 
Several other small improvements were made. 

The biggest change has been the new Precoated metal which is a more 
durable exterior finish and not likely to need recoating for a long 
time.

The 97 is a fine unit there is certainly nothing wrong with it and it 
will give you years of good service.  It also may be a good starter 
unit as you are quite likely to trade up to a larger unit later.
