pardon my emphasis but -- that is a FOR SURE fact!!  aluminium does not tolerate
acid and you will damage it beyond any hope of polishing it.
This is one reason for you acid rain people to keep your trailers under cover
and a good coat of wax or clearcoat on the surface.

btw, are you all still defoliating trees up there in the upper tier - Northeast
and Central?
