Re: [A/S] Newbee question: How necessary is a Hensley?

This is a simple adjustable friction device that consists of a bar,
which attaches to a small ball next to the coupler, and a hollow
rectangular tube (in which the bar slides back and forth), which
attaches to a small ball on the "A" frame of the trailer tongue. It
is about as primative a method of anti-sway control as can be
imagined, but for smaller trailers, at least, it works quite well.

Your coupler head may not have a provision for this, however. If it
does, there will be a "wing" or extension of some sort with a hole in
it on the right side of the the coupler (looking at it from the
rear). The ball bolts on there. Any dealer who has the Reese anti-
sway bar can show you how it goes on.
