[A/S] Polishing woes
I have tried everything to get my 1965 Overlander to a mirror finish. Tried
the compounder, three rags method. Purchased a Cyclo Polisher, nearly $200
worth of Rollite polishes, and still end up with either a gray fog, or a
brownish color in several areas of my trailer. I don't know what to do next.
I have not burned the metal, as most have suggested in the past. I have
stripped the clear coat, used prepolish, then polish then AP300. It is like
ghosts appearing after I am done. I have tried polishing in the morning, mid
afternoo, and early evening. I washed down between polishes with mineral
spirts, I am very confused and getting very discouraged after spending so
many hours, only to have it look the way it does. If anyone has suggestions,
I am open to all.
Thanks,
Chuck & Lynn
