Re: [A/S] tow vehicle choice

Not in "Snow Country" ??... Now there is a interesting comment,
PLEASE do not say that near my 86 Ford truck purchased brand
new in '86 by me, has spent all its 16 years in New England, Maine
and Cape Cod to be exact... Yep, its beginning to show its age,
little rust developing aeound the fender flairs, Its never been in a
body shop. It still runs just like the day it came off the dealer's
floor. If my '86 hears a comment like that it just might give up, I
might have to call someone to come tow it away!!!

Just how long do you expect to take to put 400K miles on a
truck??? Especially in snow country?

Just as an example of Ford Tough, I have a friend that operates a
heavy equipment mechanics service, uses Ford trucks, he is on his
third engine in one of them, a '70's vintage truck, he replaces the
diesel engine at 600K miles. He has worn out 2 engines and has
not worn the truck out yet...
