Mine too. But, I always place a concrete block under the electric jack when
I lower it, so once I lift the tongue using the bottle jack, I have found
that by using my weight distribution hitches, I've got about 8-10 inches
clearance (roughly the height of the concrete block) which is enough to move
it safely.  You can always move it a short distance until you find somewhere
with electricity and then raise.  I guess the moral is that there is some
advantage to lowering the electric jack onto a block as well, especially if
you think the battery might go dead.
