Re: [A/S] Re: widebodies

Speaking of awning arms, they are built a lot stouter than they look. Last
summer, in a narrow construction zone on top of a mountain, an 18 wheeler
in front of me sent one of the highway department marker plastic 55 gal
barrels sailing, then I sent the next plastic 55 gal barrel sailing and the
18 wheeler behind me got the next one. The highway department just didn't
know how wide to set them out and we modified three in a row, accidentally
of course. I was afraid to look at the damage but found none, even though
the awning arm is all that hit the barrell. Good Airstream design, but I
don't recommend this activity as it is hard on the heart with all of that
extra adrenaline pumping.
