Sounds like a Nu-Tone power unit, onto which a series of appliances (e.g.. 
blender, ice crusher, etc.) can be set.  Probably any electrical supply 
house would have a catalog of their products.  Also make kitchen and 
bathroom fans.  Used to be (still are?) standard on the Excellas, perhaps an 
option or aftermarket add on in the Argosy.
