         I  sometimes use a "Tongue Twister,"  which accepts the jack tube 
directly.  Camping World has them, as does the Hensley online store.  It 
has a lead-screw that you can turn with a supplied wrench to move the jack 
tube to the left or to the right over a total range of about 6", handy when 
hitching.
