  If your UniVolt doesn't have the builtin fuse panel, it's simple: 
Connect the large White wire (battery negative or -) to the negative 
output lead of the I-P, connect the large Black wire (battery positive 
or +) to the positive output lead of the I-P, and connect the ground 
lead to the ground connection of the I-P.

It's more complicated if you have the fuse panel, but still quite doable.
