RE: [A/S] Re: More on tires
Have not changed the factory/dealer (?) Firestone Steeltex tires
on my F250 yet, but will certainly go with Goodyear when I do. Why? - I
consider Goodyear the best for the $$. I've always run Goodyear's on my
cars/only other truck/horse trailer & boat trailer (back when A/S's were
invented & I still had functioning knees). I have NEVER had problems
with Goodyear's. If kept in proper air pressure for the load & rotated
when required, and changed out when tred (sp.?) is worn, I have never
had a blowout not caused by road trash (glass or nails). Never. Because
of this record, I became a Goodyear customer long ago.

Personally I like the wider footprint. I think it gives me
better all around traction. And while I can't prove it, I also think I
get a tad smoother ride from a wider tire. Maybe only in my mind, but
........that's where I'm accused of spending most of my time anyway.
