Hi, everyone. We just got on the list and have been enjoying it immensely.
Thanks. Here's the first questions:

It seems there's quite a weight difference between different models and
years. Is there any sane way to sort this out?

Are there any particular years to embrace/avoid? Our budget has us shopping
for something probably 10-15 years old and/or 10-$14,000 in cost.

Any help, comments and considerations are most appreciated.
