I had Delco Voyager batterys that lasted 10 years. In fact I replaced 
them just because of their age. I put in Optima Yellow Top deep cycle 
about a year ago & they are doing fine. I put the Optima Red top in 
my Suburban because they can't leak acid like other batterys. GM 
truckes have a problem with their side mount battery cables where 
they will eventually leak acid out the battery & down the cable. That 
makes a mess & expensive to repair. I know Optima & other brand 
spiral type batterys are fairly new, but have a good reputation for 
durability. Optima has a wab site if you are intrested.
