I, too, upgraded to a higher Load Range when I changed over from
14" LR "C" to 15" LR "D".  Seems that A/S was putting 14" tires on
Safaris for a while, back in the late '90s.  I wanted a margin of
safety and better wear so I converted.  The local Goodyear dealer
did not have Marathons in the ST225-15D but he got a set of
Asian-built tires that seem to do a good job, though I only have
about 6000 miles on them.  The brand is NANKANG, made in Taiwan,
to USA/Canadian DOT Specs.  They cost about $85 each, mounted,
balanced, and taxed.
