Personally, I wouldn't want to miss going to Ft. Davis and the McDonald 
Observatory. There is a new visitor's center opening this month at the 
observatory. The web site is www.mcdonaldobservatory.org, phone (915) 
426-3640.  I think there is a web site for  Ft. Davis also.  Phone # for Ft. 
Davis National Historic Site (915 426-3337 Camping reservations # (512) 
389-8900. Marfa (800 650-9696) and Alpine (800 561-3735) Chambers of Commerce 
numbers. There was a great article in my March/April AAA Texas Journey 
magazine.
