[A/S] 79 auto that can tow 79 Argosy

I had a 1971 Thunderbird. It weighed 5200 pounds and had a 429 cu.
in. engine that pushed about 420 horsepower. This car would have had
no trouble at all pulling an airstream on an equalizer hitch. In
1979 I think the only cars left that were that big were Cadillacs and
Oldsmobiles (if they still had a Toronado) I know the Thunderbird of
those years was actually a renamed Ford Elite, which Ford came out
with in 1977 or 1978. Then in 1979s model year, the elite was gone
and the Thunderbird looked just like the previous years Ford Elite.
Those were the last days of the real Ford Thunderbird. I bought
another one in 1983 and as far as being a luxury car like the older
ones, it was a joke. Stick with Pickumup trucks for pulling
Airstreams and you will, (I think) be happier. This is only my
opinion and not to be confused with confusion. Hahaha. And do you
have a husband to trick into buying you that new truck? <GGGGG>
