Hi ,
399 may well be a good price , but 45 watts of panel most likely wont supply your 
needs , at least for very long , unless you are in the southwest and dont use many 
lights or the furnace , fans etc.
However it will keep your battery up in storage ,and provide for limited lighting and 
extend your time boondocking .
   You need to take into consideration the average hours of sunlight in your area , 
and do the math on your average use .
  I have 170 watts of panels , use it in the northeast ,dont have a fan on the furnace 
, its a small trailer , and I have hoped for sun after 3or 4 days of rain and cloudy 
weather .
  Look up rvsolar on the web , they have a form to figure your use , or some of the 
previous posts on Tom Pattersons web site archives , particularly Terry Tylers 
observations . Ive got some pics of
my setup on the files section of this list at yahoogroups.
   But by all means get some panels , any amount of watts helps , and it will increase 
the use and potential campsites of your airstream .
