[A/S] Ozone and trailer tires

I do not know how good the anti ozone feature of the Goodyear Marathon
trailer tires is, but a tire dealer gave me some general information a
couple of years ago, which I include here for what it's worth.
He said that the anti ozone compounds put into tires require heat and
flexing to release them to the surface where they will do you some good.
This means running the tire, preferably at a substantial speed on a periodic
basis to get some benefit.  Just standing there, the anti ozone chemicals
are not released and the tire will deteriorate faster than if it were used.
