Yeah, I think you're correct. My 78 appears to have two peices of
glass with a gasket in between and is assembled to another peice
which is rvited to the outside of the trailer body. I don't a snap
ring. I am wondering how to disassemble this design.

After 1975, I believe the windows could not be disassembled while on the
trailer.  You'll have to remove the whole thing, or cut the inner pane out.
