[A/S] Vista view

When I purchased my '73 international the very nice fellow who was
selling it said : "the best thing to do with the vista views was to put
colored film on them and they would look like stained glass". I didn't
answer him cause I was two busy looking at the two U - shaped aluminum
flats that acted as a retaining rings for the inner glass which in this
case was plexi or lexan. One of the first things I did when I got home
was to take my pocket knife and pop out the aluminum flats and gently
pull off the inner plexi -glass . I then use a single edge razor and a
soap solution to remove the tinting film and the remains of the glazing
tape. Glazing tape is used to "set" fixed glass into a frame, like a
non operable window in a house. Vacuum, windex, voi la like new! I
haven't as yet replaced the inner plexi I'm wondering if the heat gain
or loss for the 8 ( that's eight) vista views is worth it.
