Roy,
You make a very good point.  My visit to the local RV
show last year and seeing the 70th Anniversary model
turned me on to Airstream.  The sobering point was to
check out the price and weight.  Once I did some
mental calculations I saw $100K for trailer and tow
vehicle.  I made the comment to my wife, if I spend
that much money, it will have a motor in it!

It could have ended there, but as it ended up I found
an A/S brochure in a closet (I don't think the dealer
was giving them out), took it home and discovered the
Safari.  Wow towable with my existing vehicle and in
my price range!  The rest is history....
