Chuck and Lynn - Check out the American Standard RV water heaters.  Their 6 
gallon and 10 gallon are faster recovery
and not any more expensive.  I installed one in my 64 Tradewind and was 
very pleased with the gas/electric/DSI unit.

I can't remember the web address but do a search for American Standard 
Water Heaters and you will find it
