As an industry consultant, the fixed requirement of 2 way satellite is
indeed firm, but virtually never enforced.  It's purpose is to forestall
folks from doing improper installations, which would cause co channel
interference to satellites adjacent to the one you are intending to
align to.  If you are good at the installation, you could do it every
night and never have a worry.

As for the Sprint e-mail connectivity, that's great news.  Now all they
have to do is get the units to be able to hold a standard mobile
telephone conversation for more than a couple of minutes straight!
