Note that Mercedes Benz new veh are recomending Moblie 1.
the new computer in the benzs tell you when to change oil! depending how you 
drive. the computer keeps track of the variables and "reads"
the oil quality and adjusts the drain intervial to your habits.
the soonest you could have a required oil change would be 11,000 mi
to as long as 19,000 mi.(or one year). That reduces operating cost!!!!! 
visits to the shop!!!!! save oil!!!! and waste. these new engines don't have 
dip sticks. Check out GM's  northstar engine. The 3,000 mile oil
change is going the way of the T rex.... My bro-in-law  just purchased
a new 2002 pontiac bonniville. At christmas he drove it to Fla and back
from Mi. After the trip his computer said that oil had 70% of its life 
left... he can't beleive it. steve
