Joe, we are wintering in a 27 ft. Safari and doing fine.  There are a number 
of folks here in 20 to 25 ft. units.  At times, I feel a floor plan with a 
couch across the front and a dinette would give a more open feeling and 
additional seating.  We only have a couch in the living area.

If you are going to be on the road a lot, shorter is better.  When parked, 
longer is nice.  I find the 27 ft. trailer to be very long when trying to 
find a station where I can get access to take on fuel.  

In general, stations used to have pump islands parallel to the street where 
access was great.  Now most islands are perpendicular to the street and I 
have to choose a place carefully.
