I have a little routine that I go through.  First I
recheck all the hitch connections, then Patty does the
brake and light check with me, I pull out of my site
onto the road in front of the site.  I then get out
and make one more check in the hitch area to make sure
everything stayed connected through that first turn.

It might be a case of overkill but I feel a lot better
knowing that I did a double check.
