A local SOB dealer in St. Louis sponsered these folks
to come in and weigh any trailer for free.  I loaded
up the Safari with food and clothing.  Didn't fill
water or holding tanks.  It weighed in at 6,000 lbs.  

They also offer a seminar on tires which was great I
learned a lot.  For those of you who are new on the
list, check the archives for May or June of last year
and you will get some backround of what I learned.
  
If I owned a motorhome I would make this weigh in a
priority.  It was sobering to learn that some motor
homes can leave the factory, be in compliance with
axle loads but be overloaded on one wheel.  This is
something that you can't find out on many commercial
scales.
