[A/S] Door frame vs. bridge seams
Howdy;
We just got back from a short trip to Montgomery
Trace, TX. It was our first trip towing the AS with
our F250 PSD. It was a wonderful experience.
When we arrived at the RV camp we noticed that the
door just did not want to open with out a great deal
of force. The trip from San Antonio to destination
was on interstate and state highways. There was no
construction, but there were a number of bridges whose
seams did not match up to the road properly. So we
dropped onto the bridges.
The door mechanisms didn't work at all from the
inside. We couldn't lock the door, and had to butt it
to get it open.
This summer we encountered the magical door opening
while in motion. Is there something to be done that
can re-enforce the door frame area? It seems that
this is a weak point on the trailer.
The AS is at the dealer now. Of course, the warranty
ran 4 days ago. Since we've had warranty work on the
frame I'm hoping they will consider it a continuing
problem and cover it. Not that I'll be holding my
breath.
